Biography

Launceston based artist, Fiona Chipperfield studied fine arts at the University of Sydney in the 1990's. Fiona’s training as a printmaker provides her with the means to explore ideas through the physical layering that is intrinsic to printmaking. Layered patterns and images are a strategy to both conceal and reveal meaning. Fiona has now developed a process of layering photographic images to reveal or conceal the beauty of the female form and women's inner desires.
